Upgrading your plan unlocks higher limits, more AI credits, and advanced features instantly. EcomWize makes upgrading seamless with mid-cycle prorating and immediate feature access.
EcomWize shows upgrade prompts in context when you hit a plan limit:
Publishing limit - When you try to publish a page and have reached your published page limit (Starter plan: 10 pages).
Store limit - When you try to connect a second store on the Free or Starter plan.
AI credits depleted - When you attempt an AI operation with insufficient credits.
Feature restrictions - When you try to use a Pro-only feature like Shopify Markets or Shopify-editable mode.
These prompts include a direct link to the pricing modal so you can upgrade without navigating away from your work.
Open the pricing modal
Click on your plan indicator in the sidebar, or click "Upgrade" from any limit prompt. The full-screen pricing modal slides up.

When you upgrade between paid plans mid-cycle, EcomWize calculates a prorated charge so you only pay the difference for the remaining days in your billing period.
Example: If you upgrade from Starter ($49/mo) to Pro ($79/mo) halfway through your billing cycle:
You have already paid $49 for the full month
The Pro plan costs $79 for a full month
The difference is $30 for a full month
Since you are halfway through, the prorated charge is approximately $15
The exact prorated amount is shown in the confirmation dialog before you confirm the upgrade. Your next full billing cycle will charge the full Pro plan price.
When your upgrade is confirmed:
Aspect | What Happens |
Features | All new plan features are available immediately |
AI credits | Reset to the new plan's full allocation |
Publishing limits | Updated to the new plan's limits instantly |
Store connections | New limits apply immediately (Pro: unlimited) |
Billing cycle | Continues on your existing billing date |
Prorated charge | Charged immediately for the remainder of the current cycle |
When upgrading between paid plans, a confirmation dialog provides:
Source and target plan names - Shows which plan you are upgrading from and to
Features you will unlock - A checklist of new features available on the higher plan
Prorated amount - The exact charge for the remainder of your billing cycle (may show a loading skeleton while being calculated)
Confirm/Cancel buttons - To proceed or go back
